Collecting Fears, performing the Archive
ongoing project  since 2008

Collecting fears  is an ongoing project which collects and displays the fears of people in its immediate surroundings in the public space, who are willing to contribute them. The accumulated ‘data’ is highly revelatory, exposing the diverse and overlapping cultural histories occupying today’s urban spaces.

The project had started in Budapest, in 2009, and so far has been realised in New York, Tbilisi, Georgia and in Berlin.
In Berlin it is part of an ongoing research project, and applied as a methodology of mapping process.

Re-cycling fears in Budapest  2014
public action

Fears, which have been collected previously in a group exhibition, had been re-cycled to public space in Budapest. Although graffiti are prohibited and punished with three year jail term in Hungary, if someone caught, this street action tried to operate in this context, and expand in the loopholes of the law system by using chalk as its medium.
